I’ve recently been listening a lot to the People’s Radio Broadcasting Music Radio Channel (音乐之声) using my Kylintv TV box. As those from the PRC know, all broadcast radio in Mainland China plays a series of beeps on the hour and half hour after which the current time is announced. (beep…beep…beep…beep…beep 11:00) Recently, immediately after this an announcer comes on and says I am Angela Zhang Shaohan the time is __:__AM. Is this the famous singer Angela 张韶涵? I always thought she was Taiwanese.
